Out with the old and in with the new. Starting January of 2018, the American Heart Association will no longer issue printed certifications. In their place, the AHA will now issue all students who successfully complete an AHA course an electronic certification. This is excellent news as the ecards have many benefits for the students. Let’s take a look at some facts about eCards given by the American Heart Association.
FACTS ABOUT ECARDS

Are AHA eCards Secure?

Which courses will receive eCards?
eCards will be issued for completion of all AHA classroom-based or blended learning training (a skills session must be completed after an eLearning course).
Can I still print my card?
Yes, the AHA eCard can easily be printed by the student or instructor.
Can corrections be made to AHA eCards?
Yes, after a student claims an eCard, the student’s instructor or the AHA Customer Support Center is able to make corrections to the course date, student’s name or email address.
How do I claim my AHA eCard?
First, you will receive an email inviting you to claim your eCard. Second, you will click the hyperlink within the email and be directed to the Student Profile webpage. On the Student Profile webpage you will create a security question, confirm or edit contact information and agree to the AHA’s standard Terms of Use. Lastly, you will have the option to complete a quick survey and view your individual eCard.
