First Aid Training

Marion CPR offers First Aid training to students in Ocala Florida of all ages.  Whether you need a First Aid certification for employment or are looking to obtain new skills, we believe First Aid training is important for everyone to learn.  Emergencies and accidents occur when we least expect it and you do not need to be a nurse or doctor to help someone in need.  With the American Heart Association First Aid, or First Aid, CPR and AED combo course, you will learn important skills to care for your loved ones, offer assistance to those in need, and have the ability to make a difference between life and death in some situations.  In the First Aid course, you will learn how to react in a variety of situations including an array of medical, injury and environmental emergencies.  Below is a preview of the topics you can expect to learn about in our First Aid courses:

  1. First Aid Basics
    1. Duties, roles and responsibilities of first aid rescuers
    2. Scene safety
    3. Phoning for help
    4. Finding the problem
  2. Medical Emergencies
    1. Assembling and using an inhaler
    2. Choking in an adult, child, and infant
    3. Diabetes and low blood sugar
    4. Fainting, stroke, seizure
  3. Injury Emergencies
    1. Actions for external bleeding
    2. Amputation
    3. Broken bones and sprains
    4. Burns, electrical shock and dehydration
  4. Environmental Emergencies
    1. Actions for bites and stings
    2. Temperature-related and poison emergencies
